Overview
To operate the POS terminals (online cash register) of your stores, you need a stable internet connection between POS terminal and YUMA server, which exchanges data between the cash registers, synchronizes their work and processes sales data.
However, YUMA lets you process customer orders without access to the internet with some limitations (see later in this topic). This feature allows you to continue serving clients even if the internet connection is poor or absent.
Restrictions in Offline Mode
In offline mode (without access to the external internet network) you can create and pay orders, however, there are some restrictions. In the offline mode, YUMA does not support the following features:
- Adding customers to the order.
- Paying order with loyalty points.
- Creating delivery orders.
- Managing stop lists.
- Paying order wth gift cards.
- Some types of discounts and promotional campaigns are not supported.
- Order printout is only possible on network printers located in the local store network.
- Cannot use YumaKitchen app.
Enabling Offline Mode
For detailed instructions on how to enable offline mode, see How to Set up POS Terminals Without Access to Internet.
